I was driving along Commissioners Rd. just east of Wharncliffe Rd. today & glanced over at the building where I used to pick up Fred & Leanne to take Fred to the Cancer Clinic. I was so sorry to read that Fred had passed away in November as he gave a new meaning to the phrase "fight this cancer as hard as you can". So sorry for your loss Leanne & Michael. This was a life taken much too soon.

My condolences to the Burrell family.
I remember Fred in school (Mayfield) and shortly after school when he was a Postie. I lost track of Fred a couple of years after school. Its sad that he's passed on makes me think about my own mortality. But I guess this is all part of living. People we know and love pass away but life goes on until its our turn.
I knew Fred when he was young and vibrant and that is the way he will stay for me. Even though I haven't seen Fred since the early 80's I would have known that face anywhere.
Slange Var Fred.

Thank you for filling so many years with laughter, love and memories to cherish forever. Too many great time to focus on any one in particular, but it is those great memories which will help us get through this rough time and bring smiles to our faces for years to come.
There was never a sad day with Fred, until today.

I wish to express my deepest heart felt condolences to you and family Lea....
And wish to add.......my most vivid memory of Fred after so many years...decades actually is his smile......his laughter! Fred was always smiling and laughing and one could not help but smile and laugh with him, to me Fred always had a calmness to him and was readily available to offer guidance to those who may seek some.
I was so happy that Fred was able to attend one of my annual summer BBQ windings a few years ago and with FB we were able to chat at times.
My prayers and best wishes to you Lea and the rest of the Burrell family...
A beautiful man gone way to soon...Spirits Speed Fred!

My memories of Fred was that of a hardworking, happy and fun loving guy with a great smile and wit.
I had the pleasure of spending an enjoyable and fun filled weekend with Fred and Leanne a number of years ago in Cargill at that neat old hotel. We spent a great evening up on the roof "patio" viewing the stars and sharing stories and enjoying our time together.
My sorrow goes out to all of his family and friends at this difficult time.

My Deepest Condolences to Everyone who knew this incredible Man. I knew Fred my whole life. I met him at such a young point that I don't even remember when it was. From his barreling down the 5th line in his mini with his head popped out of the sunroof to when he lived with us on several occassions in England while bicycle touring, to the two summers I spent working with him as a laborer for his masonry company. Fred was always wild at heart. A free spirit whose objective in life was the happiness of others. I will always remember his gutteral cackle the big smile and of course his crazy blond curly hair...... God Speed My Friend. And Thanks Always.
