Heartfelt condolonces to the Dunn family and Marion, a real shock that Bruce is no longer with us. He was a big part of my youthful forays into the band scene in London having played together in no less than 3 bands. The first as I recall was the Trees - we debuted at the famous Rockcliffe Hotel in Minden in the summer of 1980 what a blast that was. I think that experience may have influenced Bruce's love of Haliburton. Then, we formed the amazing power trio Decoy (or Decay as Hamp would say) - unfortunately that band didn't really get off the ground but practicing at the Manor all those times was the best of fun. We did hit it big with the Agents - several gigs at the old standbys The Vic, and some other places that I can't remember. Anyway it's so great to read the accolades of all his friends - that he was such a positive influence on so many. Sadly, the last time I saw Bruce was in August 2015 at the Zeuss reunion at the London Club where he ably filled in for the stupendous Rockman. Thanks for the memories, dear Bruce.
Brucey, you were the greatest man! The last few days I’ve found myself looking through photos of all the great times we shared. A common thread through them all was constant laughs! You were not only the most supportive administrator, but also the most hilarious! You were loved by all students, staff and community members! I’ll miss your candy jar, your train whistle ring tone, your bright red sneakers, but most of all, your compassionate and caring ways. Heaven has gained one amazing angel! Sending hugs and prayers to Marion, your family and all those grieving the loss of a wonderful man.
I am very lucky to have worked with you and met you. You were always there to support everyone and I will always remember the laughs we had as our co- worker and friend. I will miss your delivery of shortbread cookies at Christmas. But I will always remember the happy memories. Rest peacefully Bruce.
We send our sincere condolences to Bruce’s family & Marion. Bruce has been in our lives for many years and it will feel very empty without him. Fortunately, we have many photos and wonderful memories to keep him in our thoughts. Love from Keith & Maggie.
Well there will be a heck of a racket in Heaven with Drummer Boy up there! I met Bruce ( and Mar ) on Ted Carr Lane in Haliburton in 2010. We all became great friends and he even played drums at Michelle and my wedding in 2013 ! My fondness memory is doing radio together at Canoe FM , once he was even “ Liam the Leprechaun “ on St Patricks day ( as per picture). Rest is Peace my friend. Doug Hall
