Maisie has been an “earth angel” in my life since I was three years old, when she was my 17 year old babysitter, who among other things, taught me to face fears and experience the joy of achievement, a powerful, life-long lesson for a three-year-old. Our lives interconnected again when I was in grades seven and eight at a new school to me, when Maisie was the kindergarten teacher who invited me to help out in her class at recess and lunch time, cementing my desire to become a teacher. We reconnected once again when I became a member of DKG, which cemented our connection and deepened our friendship. Maisie‘s love and inspiration have left indelible heartprints. Her deep faith, her giving heart, her gentle, elegant spirit, her adventurous nature, her calm confidence, all set an example for me, nurturing and enhancing my life. Her legacy continues with her beautiful daughter, Stephanie, whom I’m honoured to call a special friend, and with whom I look forward to continuing fun adventures, set by the example of her beloved Mum. Rest in peace, dearest Maisie.
Remembering Maisie as pictured when we celebrated her 90th Birthday...She will be forever remembered for her faithful attendance at St. Paul's Cathedral and her lifelong passion preserving the archives of the Cathedral. Rest eternal grant unto her O Lord and grant peace to all those who knew and loved her, most especially her beloved daughter Stephanie.
